I jumped into Episode 1 during the back half of development as World Art Lead for the Vanguard Omega team. Featured here is but a fraction of the enormous Encore mission. These are the areas I had the most direct hand in while the rest of the mission I contributed to primarily in a problem solving, feedback, and collaboration capacity. I primarily led the charge for populating and dialing in the colorful foliage used to represent Maya's influence throughout the episode - featured very heavily in Mission Encore. Credit for original assets goes to the rest of the palette team as my work primarily involved working closely with Art Direction, spinning off new versions of existing foliage, adding/editing textures, and working on shader updates to make everything cohesive and unique to the episode while setting up easy to use prefabs for the rest of the team to use. For the initial entry point (first 2 images) I iterated very heavily on the previously existing massout before taking it and the view into the distance to completion. The last 2 images are a transition between the two maps that makeup the mission that I built out from start to finish as well. Finally, the spaces in between I was responsible for putting on the finishing touches and last bits of storytelling. This mission was gigantic and was a colossal team effort.
