I was responsible for taking the original Pacific Island map worked on by a fellow artist and creating the "War Variant". I heavily edited a skybox and reworked the lighting from the original high noon / blue sky model. I was also responsible for new set dressing, decal work, vfx placement, terrain and prop texturing changes, and updating some of the painted down plants and stones to more recent assets I had made for other maps. I also set up and animated a variety of ambient and triggered events for the map including: dog-fighting aircraft, active bunkers, offshore bombardment from the boats, as well as the new tank landing craft spawn for light tanks.
A large part of the painted down culturals and trees were carried over from the original map and most of the HD props are products of the Kiev studio and its outsource teams.
